Quality Control

Appearance

Inspect the allowable range of lens surface defects and internal defects under the light

Power

Inspect the allowable range of lens surface defects and internal defects under the light

Lens Thickness

Using Thickness Gauge to check the lens thickness

EMI

We need to place the front side of the lens with hard multiple coating in the top black sensor button, if the lens has EMI coating, then the light will concentrate or you will hear beep sound

Lens Diameter

Using Vernier scale to check the lens diameter

Waterproof performance

Write with a water pen and check if there are any marks remaining on the lens

Coating Color

Using color testing equipment compare the tested sample data to the standard one to check if it is qualified.

Salt Water(corrosion & heat resistance)

The sample should be hung in the test container and completely immersed in a 5% sodium chloride (NaCl) aqueous solution, boiled (about 100°C) for 20 minutes, put in cold water (normal temperature), and then taken out and washed, and wiped dry with a soft and clean cloth. Look at the largest reflective surface and observe the phenomenon of cracking and peeling.

Adhesion ( Cross Hatch test)

A cross-hatch pattern is cut into the surface of the lens by using a sharp blade to cut a set of parallel lines through the coating. A piece of 3M tape is then pressed against these lines. The tape is quickly lifted off. The edges of the cuts are completely smooth; none of the squares of the cross-hatched area are detached.

Scratch Resistant(Steel Wool Abrasion)

Perform on the anti-friction eqeuipment, fold 000# steel wool (with a load of no less than 750g) and rub it back and forth for 1000 cycles. The difference between the haze value of the sample after friction and the haze value without friction should not exceed 0.8%. This method gives a qualitative rating from poor to excellent.
